I\u00a0lead the School Self Evaluation process at the school and have a particular expertise in rolling out and implementing a whole school\u00a0 approach to improving numeracy.\u00a0As part of The College For Every Student (CFES) initiative I\u00a0have undertaken a Masters in the area of Cooperative Learning and integrating technology with Bridge21 teaching methods. I have\u00a0presented my\u00a0work at national and international conferences. I\u00a0have considerable experience of building communities of practice with colleagues from schools in Ireland and beyond.<\/td>\n\n

Darren Byrne:\u00a0I am an Art, Craft & Design teacher in St. Joseph\u2019s Secondary School, Rush, North Co. Dublin.\u00a0I graduated from the National College of Art and Design (NCAD)\u00a0in 2002 where I specialised in Education. Since 2014 I have studied part time at Trinity College Dublin (TCD)\u00a0where I have received a Post-Graduate Certificate in 21st<\/sup> Century Teaching & Learning. I am currently studying for my Masters in Education specialising in Cooperative Learning.\u00a0Aside from being a member of the TFT team here at our school I am also a participant in several other initiatives such as the College for Every Student (CFES)\u00a0programme and the \u2018Strip to Identity\u2019 Erasmus+ Comenius project. I am also the NCAD Access Programme liaison teacher, and I am the supervisor of our schools Student Voice Programme conducted in partnership with Dr. Paula Flynn of TCD and the National Council for Curriculum and assessment (NCCA).<\/td>\n\n

Susanne Kelly:\u00a0<\/span>I am a teacher of Science and Mathematics at St. Joseph\u2019s Secondary School, Rush, Co. Dublin. As a teacher of Science I try to encourage discovery based learning and problem solving among students.\u00a0<\/span>Alongside my subject teaching, I am the school\u2019s Positive Behaviour Liaison Teacher. My role here is to develop strategies within the school that encourage positive behaviour among students, and promote a positive attitude towards teaching and learning within the entire school community.\u00a0<\/span>I also lead our annual \u201cWellbeing Week\u201d in the school which focuses on Mental Health Awareness, fostering student self-esteem, and acknowledging student achievements throughout the year. I am very excited to be part of the TfT programme, working with such an enthusiastic community of teachers.<\/td>\n\n

I am currently undertaking a Master’s degree in cooperative learning examining how tablets and mobile technologies can be implemented effectively in a cooperative learning classroom.\u00a0When I’m not in the classroom I have a 15 month old daughter and a 4 month old son who keep me very busy.<\/td>\n\n

Maria Anvell:\u00a0I am a teacher in Stenungsund, a small town on the west coast in Sweden. I have\u00a0been working here for three years, and before that I worked in Gothenburg for 12 years. My main subjects are maths and science. I love to teach, support and develop students of different ages. I now have a first teaching post, which means that I have opportunity to develop the school. When I’m not working I spend most of the time with my family: Daniel my husband, Astrid my daughter and Arvid my son. Marianne Ekstr\u00f6m:\u00a0I work as \u00a0teacher at Kristinedalskolan in Stenungsund. I teach pupils aged 10-13 and right now I have a 7th grade class – they are 12-13 years old. \u00a0My subjects are Swedish, Maths, Geography, Religion, History, Civics and Arts. I have previously even taught music. From last year I am a lead teacher at my school. The lead teachers in Stenungsund work with school development in different ways and my focus is interdisciplinary studies.\u00a0I have worked as a teacher for 27 years now – (Oh my goodness!) and I still really enjoy teaching.\u00a0In my spare time I like to work in my garden and I enjoy ceramics. I also love dancing. Once a week I dance foxtrot and waltz and twice a year we have a Ball. Then of course I spend a lot of time with my family and friends.<\/span><\/td>\n\n

\u00a0\"maria_lundmark\"<\/td>\nMaria Lundmark:\u00a0I was born and raised in Stenungsund. Now I live with my family about ten kilometers\u00a0outside Stenungsund, in \u00d6dsm\u00e5l. I started working as a teacher in 1997. In 1998 I got a\u00a0permanent job at Kopperskolan, where I still work. I mainly teach pupils aged 10-13. In\u00a02005, I also took a degree in Computational Linguistics. I now have a first teaching post in\u00a0the municipality. It is a school development mission. Once a week I also work with the\u00a0municipality’s website. I like to challenge myself and my teaching, and I strive to keep\u00a0evolving! In my spare time I spend most of my time with my family and friends.<\/td>\n\n

I have had the chance to meet and teach a wide range of students who had very different intentions when learning. Some wanted to graduate, some did that just for fun. I have taught younger and older kids as well as youngsters, children playing truant and elderly blind and visually impaired people. A few months ago I started teaching future teachers and trying to pass all my knowledge and inspiration on to them. Her passion for German\u00a0language and culture led her to move to Germany twenty-four years ago (Freiburg,\u00a0Dresden and then nine years ago to Berlin). She also lived in Paris for\u00a0three years. She has\u00a0been teaching Italian and German (as second languages) in adult education\u00a0as well as in primary education. After studying Industrial Design in northern Italy and working in that field for a couple of years, I decided to use everything I had learned in a completely different area, and follow two of my other passions: languages and teaching. I love working with children and teenagers, so I studied English and Italian in Munich and had my first work experiences in secondary schools in Munich and a sixth form college in Winchester, where I was an assistant teacher. I also have experience of teaching Estonian as a foreign language. During\u00a0all my professional career I have been engaged as a class teacher.\u00a0I am interested in giving my students different possibilities for developing and practising the\u00a0language. So I and my students have taken part in international projects and student camps as well\u00a0as in several study tours.\u00a0In my free time I like to walk in nature. I am also keen on the theatre.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

This is my second year as a teacher in V\u00e4ndra and I really enjoy my work. There is\u00a0still so much to learn and all those daily challenges make me very happy. I have studied maths and physics in Tallinn University and now I’m a student again and this time I’m studying maths in Tartu University. I like our project and all those people who are involved. All those great new ideas to integrate in our school will\u00a0benefit all of us, especially our students. I do love maths and I spend a lot of time with it and if I have some spare free time I read, program and fix computers and mobile phones.<\/td>\n\"vandra<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

\u00dclle Tomingas:\u00a0I was born in V\u00e4ndra,\u00a0went to school in P\u00e4rnu and graduated from\u00a0university in Tallinn. I have been teaching English in V\u00e4ndra G\u00fcmnasium for 34 years. I have also\u00a0taught German in basic school and have been a class teacher for 4 classes.\u00a0During my extensive\u00a0teaching career I have participated in a lot of training and\u00a0have worked on several international projects in cooperation with schools in England, Sweden, Spain, Germany and\u00a0Finland,\u00a0which have been a great experience\u00a0as well as a challenge to me. I am happy to contribute to this project\u00a0as much as I can and hope to bring my teaching and learning process to a higher level.<\/p>\n

As for\u00a0my hobbies, I like singing and sing in a local choir myself. I am also a football fan and like\u00a0to participate in\u00a0sports myself, having done aerobics and swimming for\u00a0many years.<\/td>\n

I love my work, I\u00a0think there is no better job than this – never bored, surprises and happy children, who look up to me. I am trying to use lots of games, teamwork and watch videos and movies to make learning interesting. But at the same time I\u00a0ask my students to be\u00a0disciplined.
